Image means a lot to many people in today’s world. But I believe that social media brings greater benefits than just the superficial aesthetic. One of the most important things in any industry is communication. Without effective communication, it is difficult to run a business. Social media serves as a great way for us to communicate with our customers, potential cliental, and our community. I have focused mainly on our Facebook page. I have been trying hard to post something a couple times every week. We did a few segments to kick off the reboot. First, we did “Meet the Driver Monday”. Each week a new driver was featured and their interests were discussed and accomplishments highlighted. Along with that we posted “Weekly Wellness Tips”. Each week these focused on different health habits, from eating healthy, to getting enough sleep, to staying hydrated, and much more! At GBI we highly value overall health and wellness. We understand that with the trucker lifestyle it can be difficult to meet these healthy habits, that is why we wanted to provide tips to help people do so. Additionally, we are in the middle of introducing our office staff to the Facebook world and we started an Instagram page! I have a big upcoming project that I have been working on these past few weeks that I am very excited for! We hope that it will highlight the benefits of being a driver and attract a younger audience to the industry. Check back next week to find out what it is!
